For a few days now, I have been surrounded by a sense of dread. I didn't know what was going to happen but I knew that nothing good could come from the feeling. Today I think that I figured out why I was dreading things so much.
I got to work this afternoon, thinking that this was going to be a great day. The first hour went by without anything going wrong. And then at around 4, something happened.
I
Fell
on
my
buttocks.
Ducky from the Land Before Time movie would say "You Falled." I did Ducky. I really did. And it was somehow Elegant. I have the video if you wanna see it. It's pretty funny when sped up.
Want to know what happened? I'm sure you do! And if you didn't really care, I'm gonna tell you anyway. lol
So, I had just helped someone in the office. I was headed to the back of the store to close the back door because the bread guy was about to leave. I was kind of rushing to get back there because I didn't think that it needed to just be standing open. So, basically I am rushing back there. And one of my kids asked me a question and wanted my help with something. So, I turned around a little sharper than I meant to turn around. I lost my balance. Then I hit my knee on a Halloween card display. That's when I really lost my balance. Then I fell over backwards because after freaking losing my balance, I slipped. One of my coworkers told me that I fell very elegantly though. So I guess there's that.
I now feel like I've been hit by a train. I haven't hurt this bad since I was in a car accident when I was in high school. Like my leg is twitching and there's a freaking knot in several places. So, it kind of hurts a little worse than the car accident I was involved in.
So, I filled out an incident report because the assistant manager told me to fill one out. And I think that if I'm not better by tomorrow, I'll go to the doctor and get myself checked out. Its pretty painful. I hit my head on the floor pretty hard. And I hit the ground hard.
I am home and I am pretty tired. I have to get up in the morning pretty early and go to work. So, I love you all. I will keep you updated on if I decide to go to the doctor or not. I should really listen to myself when I think that something bad is going to happen. I got a feeling and I shouldn't have ignored it. Maybe I'll learn.
Stay Awesome and Expect the Unexpected.
Love Always,
Dayna
P.s. Don't fall in grocery stores and as my grandpa used to say "don't take any wooden nickels!"
